Why Stitchleaf?

We originally built Stitchleaf as a way to write your best work. But, in the process of doing so we found that most writers didn’t struggle to find a writing app, they struggled with everything else.

There were two common struggles:

The Landscape Of Publishing Is Full of Lovecraftian Horrors

New writers had these fantastic visions for their work, but had to “play detective” to get their writing out there. (All while avoiding scams and misdirections.)

Not only did writers not know where to start, they had to figure out who their allies actually were.

Beyond that, there were loads of myths and pitfalls around both traditional publishing and self publishing. Frustration and disappointment ran rampant, which resulted in unfinished work from talented people.

The Process of Writing Is A Struggle

A good idea is the first step, but it has to make it to the page.

Our first app, CHSL Cards (Pronounced “Chisel Cards”) targeted both writer’s block and weak plots. Other common refrains from writers circled around goals and feedback.

We noticed that writers would would lose focus or interest before the story was written, and we set out to help with that, too.

Where Are We Going?

Our goal is to build apps that help you write and release your best work. To put it differently, we want you to shine, and even make a living at writing if that’s what you are after.

We hope that you’ll join us in the journey that follows.
